Building and Telecoms Towers Refurbishment in Ventspils

The project encompasses the renovation of a three-storey office building and two telecommunications towers at 14 K. Valdemāra Street, Ventspils, commissioned by the Ventspils Free Port Authority.

The works are structured across two phases: Phase 1 focuses on the office building renovation, whilst Phase 2 addresses the structural steel lattice masts. Energy efficiency improvements for the building include the thermal insulation of the plinth and attic floor, replacement of windows and external doors, and connection to the municipal district heating network. The project ensures full barrier-free accessibility by levelling floor thresholds, rebuilding the main entrance, and installing stair lifts up to the second floor (third level). Furthermore, interior spaces are undergoing comprehensive replanning and redecoration. The ground floor features a dining room with a kitchen and WCs (including an accessible facility), the first floor houses a meeting room, accessible WC, and five server racks, whilst the second floor comprises a dedicated dispatcher control room.

To modernise safety and building infrastructure, the facility will be equipped with a gaseous fire suppression system in the server room, an upgraded access control system, a new IP CCTV network, and Class II lightning protection. Within the 1,950 m² site, existing green areas and car parking will be fully preserved. The building's footprint remains unchanged at 308.6 m², while the total interior floor area after refurbishment will reach 530.7 m².
