Seaside Open-Air Museum Building in Ventspils – 2nd Place in “Best Latvian Building of the Year” 2025
Riga, 10 September 2025 – The prestigious “Best Latvian Building of the Year” competition, held for the 27th time this year, recognised the multifunctional building of the Seaside Open-Air Museum at Riņķa iela 2, Ventspils, as one of the most outstanding public construction projects.
The project secured 2nd place in the “Public New Building” nomination. The building was designed by the architectural bureau “Balts un Melns” under the leadership of architect Ija Rudzīte, while construction was carried out by SIA Warss+with Matīss Markovskis serving as the responsible construction manager. onstruction supervision was provided by SIA Firma L4Gints Ernstsons, and the structural design by SIA BALTS UN MELNS, Andris Bardulis.
